Let's begin
Great experiences begin
with a conversation.
Dani partners with children's museums, cultural institutions and science centers, nonprofit organizations, commercial family-entertainment ventures, and teams planning new builds or expansions. Tell me about your space, your audience, and what you're dreaming up, and I'll reply personally.
Questions
Who is Dani Hildreth?
Dani (Danielle) Hildreth is a children's museum designer and immersive experience design leader. She is currently Director of Guest Experience at kidSTREAM Children's Museum in Camarillo, California, and has designed museums and family experiences across the US, Europe and the Middle East.
What does an experience designer for children's museums do?
An experience designer shapes how a museum feels from the moment a family arrives: exhibit design, educational programming, guest-experience flow, and staff training, so that learning happens through play rather than instruction.
What is exhibit design, and how is it different from just building an exhibit?
Exhibit design starts with research and a place's own story, then works backward to the objects, materials and layout that bring that story to life for a child. It is design in service of an educational and emotional outcome, not decoration.
Where does Dani Hildreth work?
Dani is based in Southern California and works with children's museums, cultural institutions, nonprofits and commercial family-experience venues in Ventura County, across the US, and internationally.
What projects has Dani Hildreth worked on?
Her work includes kidSTREAM in Camarillo, OliOli and woo-hoo! in Dubai, the Expo 2020 Dubai school-visitor program, and the $16 million expansion of the Children's Museum of Denver.
